Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM

The Chairman took care of the various mylars and plans which needed to be signed from prior Public Hearing approvals.

Chairman Birknes introduced the new Secretary.

The Board reviewed the minutes of July 6, 2006. Chairman Birknes had several pieces of material to present to the Board:

A letter dated July 17, from the North Country Council saying that Kevin Scribner, their community development planner, who previously made a presentation to the town’s building infrastructure committee regarding the town’s capital improvement plan, would be at the Selectmen’s meeting on August 7, and strongly urged a Planning Board member to attend. Dr. Karpf volunteered, and was given the information.

2. Read an invitation from the Coos Economic Development Corporation for dinner and the annual meeting on August 7, at Spalding Inn in Whitefield, with Senator John Sununu as their guest speaker. He gave the invitation with the particulars to the Secretary for any who wished to avail themselves of it.

3. Called attention to the 2006 Municipal Law Lecture Series to be held in the fall
