Meeting Minutes
January 29, 2020

“These minutes of the Town of Carroll Select Board have been recorded by its Secretary. Though believed to be accurate and correct they are subject to additions, deletions and corrections by the Select Board at its next meeting when the Board votes its final approval of the minutes. They are being made available at this time to conform to the requirements of New Hampshire RSA 91-A:2.”

Members of the Public present: Imre Szauter, Jeremy Oleson

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairwoman Moroney.

Pledge of Allegiance.

Imre Szauter advised the Board that Allan Clark has $5,000 aside in the budget to move the items from the Town Hall into the new building. He is planning a cost of 4 laborers to assist at $60/hr each with no travel expense for two days. Imre asked the Board if the Town would do the move themselves with volunteers and employees or would the prefer to proceed with Allan and his crew. Selectman Scalley said he would like to see the move done internally and take the money saved from the Town Hall and the Library move and put it toward additional needs. He wants the money allocated in the project for moving to remain available for Select Board discretion and not put toward other expenses of the building project. Chairwoman Moroney made a motion to handle the move internally. Selectman Gauthier seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

At 6:05 p.m. Chairwoman Moroney made a motion to go into non-public session per RSA 91-A:3 for Legal. The motion was seconded by Selectman Scalley and polled; Moroney – yes, Scalley – yes, Gauthier – yes.

At 6:42 p.m. Selectman Gauthier made a motion to return to public session. The motion was seconded by Selectman Scalley and passed unanimously.

Selectman Gauthier made a motion to seal the minutes. The motion was seconded by Selectman Scalley and passed unanimously.

Selectman Scalley made a motion for the Chair to sign the Standard Operating Procedures of the Police Department. Selectman Gauthier seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

With no further business, Chairwoman Moroney made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Selectman Gauthier seconded and the Motion passed unanimously. Chairwoman Moroney declared the meeting ended at 6:45 p.m.
