Stan Borkowski’s report is posted on the bulletin board.

It was reported that Mr. Borkowski had spoken with John D’Urso and they made arrangements to meet on October 19 regarding his Little River Road property. The selectmen asked that Mr. Borkowski set a deadline for any action decided between the two men. In his conversation with Mr. Borkowski, Mr. D’Urso asked that the town provide in writing any requirements they might have prior to his opening the former Hank’s Place store on Route 3. Evan Karpf said that is a non-conforming lot and because the store had been closed for over a year, he may have to go before the Planning Board. The secretary will seek advice from Town Counsel.

Chairman Moroney read a note from Bruce Seymourian stating that he will be taking all steps necessary to resolve his subdivision violations. He will be going to the Planning Board on November 14th to start the process.

The Driveway Permit for Christopher Pappas was presented for approval. Both the Road Agent and Police Chief have signed it, and there is a note on the permit to the effect that the driveway will be disturbed when the water line is re-located. Chairman Moroney moved to approve the permit, Selectman Vecchio seconded, and the motion was passed unanimously.

Chairman Moroney reported that she had signed an application for grant materials from the State Homeland Security Program.

An application for use of the town hall by the Snowmobile Club on February 16, 2008 was approved and signed by the selectmen.

Chairman Moroney said she’d spoken to Shawn Tanguay about the Bretton Woods land offer and his progress in getting us a legal opinion. She was told that he would have the response this week.

Jay Ouellette will try to come to the selectmen’s meeting next week to talk about the status of the industrial park land and the CEDC.

Mr. Borkowski met with Roberta Daly about the Chamberlain property, and she said that she is the sole owner of that property now. She will be sending a letter of intent to the board regarding the trailers. She reported harassment by one of the neighbors while she was showing the property to a potential buyer. Bill Smalley confirmed that there was an incident in their police log.

Chairman Moroney reported that John Goodney is in the hospital, and moved to send flowers. Selectman Vecchio seconded, and the motion was passed unanimously.

Dr. Karpf said there will be free diabetes screening on November 14th from 11am-2pm at Jack’s Snack Shack in Whitefield and November 15th from 12pm-3pm at Shaw’s in Lancaster.

There will be a flu shot clinic by Weeks Medical Center at the town hall November 13th from 4pm-7pm.

Dr. Karpf said the Planning Board is meeting November 14th at 7 pm. for a presentation of the Story/Sales Center in Bretton Woods, and to hear Mr. Seymourian. They will not be addressing the Dartmouth Brook application for subdivision.

Chairman Moroney asked the secretary to email her a copy of the sample Management Discussion Letter relating to our audit. She asked that the secretary arrange with Bill Rines to schedule a Safety Committee meeting.
