Meeting Minutes
February 13, 2006



Board members present: Jay Ouellette, William Wright

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM.

Members of the public present: Roberta McGee, Doug Bews, Carmine Fabrizio, Ann Fabrizio, Billy Rines, Tom Gately, Paul Bussiere, Pam Walsh, Joan Karpf, Evan Karpf, Jim Covey, Lisa Covey

The board began with the approval of bills and signing of checks.

Selectman Wright made a motion to approve the minutes from 02/06/2006. The motion was seconded by Chairman Ouellette and passed unanimously.

The selectmen announced that they had studied the two proposals for 2006 monitoring of ground water at the landfill and had decided to accept the low bid from Horizons Engineering. Selectman Wright moved to sign the contract, Chairman Ouellette seconded, and the motion passed. The contract was signed.

A Bill of Sale in the amount of $1.00 for the sale of a 26’ Atwood Trailer to Dale Bicknell was presented. Chairman Ouellette made a motion to sign the document, Selectman Wright seconded, and the motion passed. The Bill of Sale was signed.

Chairman Ouellette read a letter from Diane Poretsky whose home is next to the Mooseland Grill. In her letter Ms Poretsky praised the local firemen and police for their actions on her behalf the night of the fire at the restaurant. It was suggested to forward the letter to Chief Duncan and Chief Gardiner.

The following documents were read and signed by the selectmen.

Water abatement in the amount of $303.50 for James Downing
Yield tax certificates totaling $13,929.65
Certificate of Occupancy for Stanley Knapp, 86 Woodland Acres
Intent to Cut for Robert Warren Map 408 Lot 14.1

Paul Bussiere came before the board to ask for closure from the town on the matter of the road on his land. He said the town has all the documentation
