Auction of Fire Station
October 29, 2021

“These minutes of the Town of Carroll Select Board have been recorded by its secretary. Though believed to be accurate and correct they are subject to additions, deletions and corrections by the Select Board at its next meeting when the Board votes its final approval of the minutes. They are being made available at this time to conform to the requirements of New Hampshire RSA 91-A:2.”

The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Chairperson Scalley.

Pledge of Allegiance.

The Chair requested a moment of silence for SSGT. Jesse Sherrill of the NHSP that had been killed in an auto accident.

The Chair announced that he was recusing himself from the remainder of the meeting.

The meeting was turned over to James St. Jean who went over the terms and rules of bidding as well as a description of the property being auctioned off. The first bid was placed for $50,000 and continued until the highest bid of $230,000 by David Scalley.

Selectman Gauthier made a motion to accept the bid of $230,000. The motion was seconded by Selectman Mills. Selectman Mills said he just wanted to state that there were multiple bidders and the auction was conducted as expected. He said he appreciates all that participated. Vote – Mills – Aye, Gauthier – Aye. Motion passed.

Selectperson Gauthier announced the auction over at 4:19 made a motion to go into non-public session per RSA 91-A:3 II (a) personnel. The motion was seconded by Selectman Gauthier and polled; Gauthier – yes, Mills – yes.

Chairman Scalley did return to participate in non-public.

At 4:32 p.m. Selectperson Mills made a motion to return to public session and seal the minutes. Selectperson Gauthier seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

Selectperson Gauthier made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Selectperson Mills seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Chairman Scalley declared the meeting ended at 4:32 p.m.
