January 20, 2022


“These minutes of the Town of Carroll Select Board have been recorded by its Secretary. Though believed to be accurate and correct they are subject to additions, deletions and corrections by the Select Board at its next meeting when the Board votes its final approval of the minutes. They are being made available at this time to conform to the requirements of New Hampshire RSA 91-A:2.”

Members of the Public:

The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Chairperson Scalley.

Pledge of Allegiance.

SCHOOL WITHDRAWAL – Chairperson Scalley explained that even though this has been discussed at several meetings, as well as noting that there was money in the budget, the board would like to be transparent.

Chairperson Scalley made a motion to have Rob Gauthier be the Selectmen’s Representative for the School Withdrawal Committee. Selectperson Mills seconded. Discussion-none. Mills-AYE, Gauthier-AYE, Scalley-AYE.

Selectperson Gauthier announced that there is a School Withdrawal Committee meeting next Tuesday, 1/25/2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Room at the Carroll Town Hall.

Selectperson Gauthier updated the Board of recent discussions with the SAU Superintendent, which were positive, noting the possibility of a negotiation, in reference to the apportionment figure. Gauthier also explained that he was going communicate with the Superintendent after the meeting on Tuesday, as the School Board has a meeting on Thursday 1/27/2022, which he will not be able to attend.

At 5:33 p.m., Chairperson Scalley made a motion to go into non-public session per RSA 91-A:3 II
legal and personnel. The motion was seconded by Selectperson Gauthier and polled; Mills-AYE,
Gauthier-AYE, Scalley-AYE.

At 5:45 p.m. Chairperson Scalley made a motion to return to public session and seal the minutes.
Selectperson Gauthier seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

Chairperson Scalley made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Selectperson Gauthier seconded. Mills-AYE, Gauthier-AYE, Scalley-AYE; and the motion passed unanimously. Chairperson Scalley declared the meeting ended at 5:46 p.m.
