PUBLIC HEARING – One-time bridge aid and highway payment

“These minutes of the Town of Carroll Select Board have been recorded by its Secretary. Though believed to be accurate and correct they are subject to additions, deletions and corrections by the Select Board at its next meeting when the Board votes its final approval of the minutes. They are being made available at this time to conform to the requirements of New Hampshire RSA 91-A:2.”

The meeting was called to order at 11:00 a.m. by Chairperson Scalley.

Pledge of Allegiance.

Chairperson Scalley opened the public hearing at 11:01 a.m.

Chairperson Scalley read the public notice:

“Notice is hereby given, in accordance with RSA 31:95-b, the Town of Carroll Board of
Selectmen will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 11:00AM at the Town of Carroll, Town Hall – Community Room, 92 School St., Twin Mountain, NH 03595 for the acceptance of Unanticipated Monies Over $10,000.00:
• To accept from the NH Department of Transportation a special one-time
highway payment in the amount of $23,994.38 in accordance with Senate Bill 401.
• To accept from the NH Department of Transportation a special one-time bridge aid payment in the amount of $19,600.12 in accordance with Senate Bill 401.”

Chairperson Scalley asked if there was any discussion.

Discussion amongst the Board regarding the use of the money, highlighting that the bridge aid money could be used to have the bridge inspected.

Chairperson Scalley motioned to accept the special one-time $23,994.38 highway payment from the NH Department of Transportation in accordance with Senate Bill 401. Selectperson Mycko seconded. All in favor.

Chairperson Scalley motioned to accept the special one-time $19,600.12 bridge aid payment from the NH Department of Transportation in accordance with Senate Bill 401. Selectperson Mycko seconded. All in favor.

Chairperson Scalley motioned to close the public hearing for the acceptance of the special one-time bridge aid and highway payments. Selectperson Mycko seconded. All in favor.


At 11:02 a.m. Chairperson Scalley announced that the public hearing for the acceptance of the special one-time bridge aid and highway payments is closed.

Discussion amongst the Board about the next Select Board meeting.

The next Select Board meeting will be Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at the Town Hall Community Room.

Chairperson Scalley motioned to adjourn the public hearing. Selectperson Mycko seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

Chairperson Scalley declared the public hearing for the for the acceptance of the special one-time bridge aid and highway payments ended at 11:03 a.m.
