The selectman read an application for a Permit to Use Town Facilities. The Chamber of Commerce wants to use the bandstand area and the gymnasium in case of inclement weather for the summer concert series. The permit is for 07/01/06 to 09/02/06 from 6 PM to 9 PM. Chairman Ouellette moved to approve and sign the permit, Selectman Strasser seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The permit was signed.

A request from Pat Martin was brought forward. She, as a Supervisor of the Checklist, would like a key to the Town Hall for when the supervisors meet before elections. Eleanor Brauns asked that the key she has had for years be returned to her as well. It had been lent to someone and returned by them to the town hall. Chairman Ouellette moved to give them keys, Selectman Wright seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.

Billy Rines came before the board with quotes for a trench box for the Water Department. The first quote was for $4,363.47 for a 180 lb. model that can be expanded to 12 feet. The other quote was for $4,118.92 for a model that weighs 1,500 lbs. The lighter more versatile model will suit the town’s needs better even though it’s a bit more expensive. Selectman Wright asked where the money will come from, and Mr. Rines stated that it will come out of his repairs and maintenance budget. Chairman Ouellette made a motion to approve a purchase in the amount of $4,363.47 for a trench box from USA Bluebook. Selectman Strasser seconded the motion, and it passed unanimously.

Ann Carmine invited all present at the meeting to attend Candidate’s Night on Tuesday evening, March 7th at 7 PM.

At 7:10 PM, as there was no additional business, Selectman Wright made a motion to go into executive session regarding legal matters. This was seconded by Chairman Ouellette. The motion passed unanimously.
