Meeting Minutes
February 2, 2021

“These minutes of the Town of Carroll Select Board have been recorded by its Secretary. Though believed to be accurate and correct they are subject to additions, deletions and corrections by the Select Board at its next meeting when the Board votes its final approval of the minutes. They are being made available at this time to conform to the requirements of New Hampshire RSA 91-A:2.”

The meeting was called to order at 8:22 p.m. by Chairperson Gauthier.

The Board met to vote on an amendment at Deliberative Session to warrant article #25. The original article requested $888.04 and will now read “Article 25. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Zero Dollars and No Cents ($0.00) for the purpose of making the Town's contribution to help offset the cost of operating the Mount Washington Regional Airport.”

The Board voted on their recommendations: Scalley – No, Moroney – Yes, Gauthier – No.

The Board reviewed a Certificate of Occupancy for Omni. Selectperson Scalley said he’d like to issue the Certificate of Occupancy with a letter of condition that the owner and construction company agree to complete. Selectperson Moroney made a motion to approve. Selectperson Scalley seconded the motion. Chairman Gauthier said if the Fire Chief and Building Inspector will sign off on the form, he agrees. They both acknowledged they would. The motion passed unanimously.

OTHER:

Imre Szauter said he had been forwarded a signed copy of the agreement with VHV and wanted to make sure the version with an April 1 start date and having no filters included is the one that the Board wanted to go with. The informed him that is correct.

Mike Hogan thanked the Board for including the warrant article for the North Country Veterans. He told the Board that is organization is able to assist veterans by providing gas and food cards. He said if the Board has people in need, please make sure they get in touch with him.

At 8:30 p.m. Selectperson Scalley made a motion to adjourn. Selectperson Moroney seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Chairman Gauthier declared the meeting ended at 8:31 p.m.
