Members of the Board present: Joan Karpf, Leslie Bergum, John Goodney

Members of the Public present: Valerie Balch, Ray Lennon

Meeting called to order at 10:00 a.m..

An informative site walk of the proposed road access to the Bergeron Property, Map 407, Lot 030.000.000, started at 10:00 a.m. on the Lennon Road. Valerie Balch, an abutter, and Ray Lennon, a former landowner and local historian, joined the board members.
At the June 12th meeting, the abutters had stated that they thought the access would actually go through wetlands. Ray Lennon’s interpretation of this land, his old “homestead”, was that the land was always very wet and they were called wild lands.
The walk through the proposed road gradually got wetter and muddier. Joan Karpf, Chairperson of the ZBA, got her boots stuck in about 6 inches of mud and fell on both knees. Another member of the group also got stuck in the mud, in a different spot, and needed help getting out.
The information gathered today will be brought to the deliberative meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustments on July 10, 2008.
The board having no further business called on end to the meeting at 11:00.
