October 15, 2008

Guest: Becki Peterson, Sue Kraabel

Meeting brought to order 7:15 PM

Tom motioned to accept minutes of the Oct. 8,2008 meeting, Ken second, it was passed.

Bonnie informed the committee that Maryclare would not be there to go over the general, administrative, insurance, welfare and financial, as she had been out for two day from a fall. Lori asked it we wanted to reschedule, and Bonnie said yes.

Sue gave the budget for the treasure – she said she was not asking for any increase this year, that her pay should stay at $4158.00, but she wanted to have $600 in 01-4150.10-809 for travel and $200 in 01-4150.10-809 training.

Becki presented the Town Clerk/Tax Collector budget. She had assorted % pay increases, as she didn’t know what the select board had decided. We informed her they were going with 3%, so she said fine to go with the $33,475.00.
01-4130.10-136 Town Clerk/Tax Collector Salary - $33,475.00
01-4130.10-137 Deputy Town Clerk - $1500.00 she wanted to come down to this.
01-4150.10-805 Travel and Training - $2250.00 the committee was adding hers and Sue’s request for 800.00 and will have to find out from Maryclare who else uses that and
01-4150.10-809 to see what increases need to be made.
10-4150.10-604 Association Dues - $100.00
01-4150.10-803 Registration Fees - $500.00
01-4150.10.802 Advertisements - $400.00

Becki, said she had been speaking to a man about these new scanning pads they you didn’t need to walk up to. She had no idea of the cost yet, but will keep us informed,
in case it is something that the town would want to do.
It was discussed that Becki was working with Ed Martin and he was starting to go out and take the meter readings, and what we thought would be a good amount for:
04-4332.10-102 Water Dept. Clerical - $1000,00 was suggested to cover the number of needed hours.

We will need to reschedule Maryclare for another night to go over her budget.

Bonnie went over the pay rates for the employees that she was unable to go over last week, as some needed correction. The question was brought up about what the;
01-4240.10-203 PI Third Party Review that had $10000.00 was for. There had been none used in 2008, and the committee wandered if it was needed. Bonnie will check with Maryclare.

Lori, asked Bonnie to contact Karen Moran, about what she felt the increase would be in 2009 for the Street lights and regular electric, that way we would have a more accurate amount for increase.
